Seasonic S12II-500 / M12II-500 or Enermax Pro 82+ 525

Hi just wondering if anyone could give me some feed back on the Enermax Pro 82+ 525 vs the Sesonic S12II-500 or M12II-500 as im planning on building a new system and would like to make it ultra quite..

Currently i have a S12-430 and have been happy but always looking at making my system even more quite?

I know the acoustics of the seasonic are about 5-7db louder

Is the Enermax Pro 82+ 525 as good as the Seasonic S12II-500 or M12II-500 not taking into the price as they are close to each other..

Thanks

What will those psu's be powering ?

"First Enermax to be ranked #1, offers modular cabling, extremely high efficiency, excellent electrical performance, and acoustics that are incrementally but audibly quieter than the rest of the best. Reviewed. March 2/08."

If you don't have to power a whole lot, the Seasonic S12II-380 should be more then quiet ( inaudible ) enough, and costs considerably less.

Im going to be running a

Intel Dual Core 3.0ghz E8400
4gigs of DDR Ram 4 sticks
3-4 SATA 7200 1Terrabyte drives
2-3 Case Fans
Nvdia 9600GT or Ati 4850

If i get the Seasonic card will it be using the full load of 500w or more like 380w

With a 4850 you'll be looking at max power draw of around 300w under load. Perhaps on boot up it's slightly higher but I doubt it. I'd get a 500w PSU though, 300w on a 500w PSU is around the sweetspot.

Yes, my bad. But I would go with the Corsair hx520w. It is essentially the same and offers a 5 year warranty and Modular Cables.

A 380w or 450w PSU is more than enough for those parts.
I personally like the Seasonic ones, but Corsair units also have a good reputation around here.
