It looks like it's $99.99 AR, now. $119.99 less $20 rebate with free shipping.

I've never PSU shopped before, didn't want to get all riled up. But I can change it.

You have to be kidding, right? Seasonic PSUs are nice, stable units. If you are building a quiet/silent rig, it is one of the most highly recommended available (see silentpcreview.com and read their reviews and their forums). I have been watching the prices on the S-12 500 watt units for the last 6+ months. This is the best deal on a S-12 500 watt unit that I have seen. You would be doing good to get this unit at $119 shipped (as proof, ZZF sells them at this price and they are usually OOS). To get this unit for less than $100 is HOT.

Cadillacs always cost a little more than a Yugo.
Of course, you don't necessarily want to throw away the box the Yugo comes in as the box will last longer.

I was planning to buy this PSU last weekend from newegg. They had it for $125 - $10 rebate with free shipping (same deal now, but shipping is $9). However, I read about some compatability issues with the S12 series and DFI motherboards.

motodude is obviously trying to sell his Ultra-X to some un-suspecting person. I don't think there is anyone who considers themself "informed" about computer hardware (PSUs in particular) that would say an Ultra-X is a superior quality PSU comapred to a Seasonic. Seasonic is the superior PSU.

As for compatabilty issues with DFI motherboards, this issue has reportedly been addressed in Seasonic's latest revision of the S-12 models.

Ultra-X connect PSU are utter crap. They are worth <$20 and has been offered for <$20 SEVERAL times after rebate(s).
Seasonic PSUs are top of the line PSUs. OCZ are probably just a tad bit lower in quality, but both are excellent choices.
This deal is warm to very warm. Not hot to me as I got my OCZ 520W for around $100 too, several months back.

I've got an Ultra X-connect I can sell you, it's much better than this POS!

Yeh, but it's shiney and glows green. You people that buy a psu based on performance make me FVCKING sick, shiney and green or dull black and no green, the choice is so obvious only a moron would have trouble making this decision!

BTW I have the S12 and used it with two different DFI Ultra-D mother-boards and it worked fine, psu's get blamed for a lot of problems, as do mother boards, memory, video cards, cases, cpu's, led lights, and case badges. Now go take on the day!

It's warm. >30% less than you would normally expect to pay=hot. OTOH, anyone needing a high-capacity PSU now should purchase this immediately. :D
