Just thought I'd share that Overstock doesn't accept DVD exchanges, even for the same item on defective merchandise.

maybe AMEX will have something to say about that

How are you guys getting the 10%. I click on the link. Add the Item I want and try to check out. On the final page where you have to click submit the order, I still do not see any discounts. am I missing something?

Only problem with this deal is that it's through overstock.com. They have horrible resellerratings and from the two times I've dealt with them. I can attest that their service is crap... Not a company I'd deal with unless you want some massive headaches...

Yes, you can dispute with your CC. Doesn't change the fact that Overstock is suck for not standing behind the media they sell.

FYI, this policy applies to all "media" including video games as music, as well as DVDs.

DeepDiscountDVD.com has horrible packaging practices as well - they'll fix stuff that has problems, but they just throw stuff into boxes and that policy produces damaged products when you order more than a single, standard sized DVD.

When it comes to DVD box sets and other not-standard-sized media, I order from Amazon.com directly (not marketplace sellers). Amazon shrinkraps your stuff to a piece of cardboard that fits the box the merchandise is placed in. This makes the item immobile and basically immune to damage.

It's worth the extra to me, to not have to worry about exchanging out my order when I recieve it because it was damaged in transit.

What I had to do was go to fatwallet.com do a search for overstock.com and click on there link.

very well spoken terry. i trust amazon's shipping when i order collectors edition dvds.

but 15 bucks is a great deal for some great season one tv shows 🙂

I've purchased several things from Overstock (at least 10 purchases) and have never had a problem. The items arrive at least as fast as from Amazon. I've also contacted their customer service via e-mail a couple of times and received fast, appropriate responses (nope, I don't work for Overstock). The only complaints I have are that their search engine isn't the greatest, and when I get the USPS tracking info from them, the post office shows no record of the shipment until after I've received it.. this last "complaint" is really USPS' fault, I would say.

Overstock must be about the worst reseller ever.

Friends of mine had repeated problems with items not being as described. Comments posted advising of that particular fact and several other negative/warning comments never showed up. A test positive comment showed up instantly.

Of course, they are legally required to exchange pysically broken DVDs. If they try to refuse that it just shows their true face.

I got it to work. I used another computer and the 10% was showing in the cart. I dont know why my computer could not show the 10% even though the 1st page said I got the 10% discount. Thanks anyway.

Thanks OP. I picked up some Jessica Alba goodness. I didnt see this on the other $15 Fox deals.
