Haha, people in Chicago are going to be pissed.

why? I certainly don't give a shit and I work right next to it and go there frequently for food. I'm not going to call it anything but the Sears Tower simply because no one else will.

I don't think I'd call it anything other than Sears Tower. Not because I'm against Willis or anything, just because I'm use to calling it Sears Tower.

Because women are dumb? They believe in ghosts and psychic. They'll also be upset about the Willis tower.

What you talking about Willis?

Oh yeah, and they're still called "Sears Point" and "Candlestick Park", regardless of what the signs say.

I personally refer to most 'rebranded' things by their original, or what I remember to be their original, name.

Candlestick Park
Oakland Coliseum (alternately, the House that Al Broke when he destroyed the center field grassy area)
PacBell Park
The Paragon (now 'Froggys', after an unfortunate binge drinking incident caused the owner to lose his liquor license)
The Rec Hall (now the 'Pavilion at ARC)
The MGM Grand (now the 'Grand Sierra')
Lake Tahoe (now 'The People's Republic of Heavenly Village')
etc.

Candlestick Park was such strong branding they have gone back to it 😉

In Southern California, they had "Anaheim Stadium", that many use to call "The Big A". Then it became "Edison International Field of Anaheim", so it was called "The Big Ed". Now it is "Angel Stadium of Anaheim", but I still hear people call it "The Big A" or even "The Big Ed".
