Sears going out of business

The one I'm most familiar with is in Olean, NY (western NY)
Quite a bit of stuff left, percent offs are getting to the point where you can get a decent deal.
(kicking myself for waiting until today to get a Nikon 5600 - it was already marked down to $150. )

As of yesterday, everything was between 15 and 40% off. Accessories for things (cameras, etc) had the biggest markdown (as well as water softeners).

Today (Sunday), the percent off on everything is supposed to increase.
That should finally make it worth it to grab some Craftsman tools.

Unfortunately, I can't find a list of locations going out of business. 🙁
If anyone has a list, that'd certainly be helpful, and for some items, possibly worth a 2 or 3 hour drive.

Sears is restructuring a few of their stores (mostly the ones not connected to malls) so don't get too excited.

I see. Sears bought K-Mart so they formed a parent company Sears Holdings to run both department store chains. Now they're closing stores because there's overlap. Most likely if you have a K-Mart near a Sears, one of them will be closed.

EDIT: Actually they say it's actually K-Mart who purchased Sears but really it was a merger of equals.

K-mart bought Sears

The good doctor scared the crap out of me... I have my life savings tied up in Craftsman tools (bought out of necessity to keep up my fossil car), so it would be a very sad day for me if Sears was done. 😛

Anyone in Kansas City area, the Sears at Bannister Mall is closing. I'm going to check it out this week to see if I can find any good bargains.
