It's an email coupon, so what does he want you to do? Bring in your laptop? The manager is an idiot, go over his head, regional manager, customer service, etc.

Worked flawlessly for me. He scanned the barcode and it went right in.

The barcode has been deactivated and they don't allow copies anyway. It says it right on the coupon!

It also says: Associate: if unable to scan, manually enter the coupon number.

This coupon is right on the sears.com website, it's not a scanned ad.

The coupon has a "craftsman" logo on it -- are you guys using it on non-craftsman stuff?

Or is this Craftsman only?

I just bought a craftsman toolbox a week ago. "Yeah I'd like to return this. I'm going to buy it again BUT this time apply this coupon!" *whips out coupon*

Do they price match?

Mine scanned fine today. Thanks OP. All I got was a 5 off of 25 in my email a few days ago, I must have been naughty this year. 😉

I tried scanning it the other day at work and it said merchandise did not qualify for reduction. Also a memo has been sent out from corporate about this coupon and managers are not supposed to accept the coupon. Just letting y'all know this is very much a YMMV deal at this point.

worked fine yesterday for me in Sears. Hardware would only accept "one coupon per day" so I walked around the store, stopping at various checkout counters, where I was able to use 6 or seven coupons. Most would do 2 or 3. I found that the smaller version wouldn't scan, but the larger version would, so I'd hand the larger one to the clerk, have them scan it, then take it back and give them the smaller version. PS it only works for tools or garden stuff. Nice!

If they are not suppose to accept the coupon, why do they still have the coupon on their website?

Does anyone know the "real" origin of this coupon?

I know its on the Sears.com site, I know it works fine and has for a good week, and I used it today myself, but does anyone know of a "legitimate" web page or email that ever linked to the coupon?
