Searching messages for hyperlinks?

When I go to the newsgroups my outlook express keeps saying on the bottom, "seaching for hyperlinks" What is this and how can I make it stop, it is slowing down my computer tremendously?

I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think you can stop OE from searching for hyperlinks; it's really only a problem if you're trying to download binaries, since OE feels compelled to go through the entire post for hyperlinks. You should try a different newsreader for binaries, like Forte Free Agent(free, good overall) or NewsBin(shareware, concentrates on binaries).
