Hi there, well, this is my first post but I am an habitué of this forum for quite some time now. I've read several LCD posts, including *all* the LCD Buyer's Guide.
I'm looking for something with a good uniform backlight, adjustable stand (pivot, swivel) and a bit faster than 20ms. Size doesn't matter but anything above 19" becomes too expensive.
After some research I can say that my ideal monitor is the HP L1955. Besides, the HP seems a bit expensive and I don't understand why. Looking for a release date I've found reviews dated Junary 2005, thats more than a year ago, a lot of time for a monitor and its "new" S-MVA panel, not found in any other monitor of this class (even the L1755). On prad.de for example, this model is compared to the old Samsung 195p and the VP191b (the VP930b *still* uses a P-MVA panel even slower than the one on the previous model?).
And about the Viewsonic model, I've heard the the new VP930b built Junary 2006 has better color algoritms and improved light uniformity. Is that true?
Many thanks in advance.
