Search functionality gone MIA

Used to be when you did a search, the text that you were searching for would be highlighted in the threads that were pulled up... this doesn't seem to happen any more. Is there a personal setting I need to toggle?

Thanks!
Geoff

It used to do it for me also but no longer.

Not that I mind, I never liked the feature much and always reloaded the thread without it.

I liked it but did like aves2k and turned it off after finding what I was looking for.

I liked it, it helped me find a post in a thread quickly to what I was looking for instead of going through all the post trying to find what I was looking for. I've actually started to use it less now on threads with high post counts.

Exactly....

I used it for precisely the same thing, particularly in longer threads.

As a workaround, you could use the google toolbar to highlight and jump to any of the search words.

Good tip, thanks!

It was removed, might return later.
I tried to add the tag to the end of the URL (The &highlight_key=y... stuff) and it didn't work.

Thought you may have just gotten rid of the tag when you do a search. 😉 Guess I was wrong

I thought that thing was quite annoying. I'd usually take that part of the URL off just to get rid of it. JIMO 😉
