how do you search for a specific term like “right now” but only get results for right now not results from any phrase that contains the word right and the word now.

When you hit the Search Bar, in the drop down menu there is a 'More' button, and that's the Advanced Search option. Try searching using the 'Search Threads and Posts' Tab.
