Thanks.

If Drudge reported it, I would relax.

They are just looking.

I think you need to understand that a dirty bomb is more of a scare than a threat. Where you are, you are perfectly safe.

Besides, Kerry is supposed to be an Al Queda supporter right? Boston is perfectly safe by the neocon reasoning.

By your reasoning, perhaps they are punishing Kerry for his failure

Pretty vague stuff.

Not surprising, though. Bush has to keep the fear-mongering going in order to keep people believing in his administration's lies.

So there might be a suspicious person in boston according to channel5 news? And somehow Drudge made this into a 'dirty bomb' scare? Give me a break. I'm sitting in boston as I type and I'm not scared.

Link not working, maybe FBI took it down as fast as it went up:

Boston terror threat probed
Boston Herald - 17 minutes ago
Federal and state authorities are investigating a nuclear terrorist threat against Boston after a man calling from Mexico told California police that he smuggled two Iraqis and four Chinese over the border en route to Boston.

Drudge has a link now to the boston herald too. Very vague stuff, nothing defined but to me at least scary since I'm about 15 minutes away.

oh and, from the Herald article:

The source said there is speculation the caller may have been ripped off by illegal immigrants he helped over the border and is now trying to exact revenge.

1-19-2005 FBI Investigating 'Dirty Bomb' Threat in Boston

BOSTON - The FBI said on Wednesday it was investigating a report of a "dirty bomb" threat in Boston, but called the information "uncorroborated."

ABC News reported on Wednesday that teams equipped with radiological sensors were patrolling Boston amid a possible "dirty bomb" threat, but local police said they had no information.

"I haven't heard that we're out there with radiological sensors," said Boston FBI spokeswoman Gail Marcinkiewicz. "Right now all I can tell you is the information that we have has not been corroborated. We have shared the information with our law enforcement partners and we're working aggressively to resolve it."

The ABC News report, broadcast over local Boston radio station WBZ, said an FBI field office in San Diego notified colleagues in Boston that someone may be trying to detonate a dirty bomb in the city.

Marcinkiewicz declined to comment on the source of the information but she noted that the FBI "gets information like this all the time." She would not speculate as to why this particular report had generated so much media interest.

The answer to the last paragraph is that Drudge got wind of something and like the Kerry adultery "scandal" spread it like cowshit on a field. If it stinks who cares?
