search broken?

sorry if this is a repost... but searching the archives is broken... any idea when it may be back up?

search works again... but not completely

"The indexes are rebuilding, they take DAYS to rebuild, we're talking 20 million messages.... Messages, Privates Messages are almost done. The archives (18 million) will take 3 days. "

Looks like the 3-day estimate for the archives was a wee bit off or it will take 3 days from start but that start didn't happen yet or it happened but there was a problem with the archive rebuild or...

My best guess is that someday archived posts will once again be available to search. 🙂 and bear it.

Am I missing the setting where search results are listed in order of last post? Cause for me they are not in any order unless it's by revelance. I would prefer from which one had the latest post.

Advanced Search > Order search results by date.

Yes - at least for the vast majority of us. It's a "set it and forget it" kind of thing.

I think it saves that setting in with your login cookie, but I could be wrong.
