I remember the show...watched a couple episodes myself months ago. First season is clearly the best. It starts going downhill season 2, and then they leave for an alien planet and all hell breaks lose.
 
The only reason i remember "seaquest" was that it was my scrabble word and I think i had over 100 points, used all 7 letters and a triple word score !

the janitor was that dude from 21 jump street..

I remember for some reason, they got teleported into alien planet with a huge ocean and i stop watching
 
i used to watch that show when i grew up too. the guy that could breathe under water with gills on the side of his neck annoyed the crap out of me.

looking back on it the show was so corny and campy.

Reading wikipedia about it, I now understand exactly why I lost interest in the show after the first season (mind you, I was a kid back then too). Apparently NBC totally fucked things up mucking around with the show/format/writing.

I also didn't know that Steven Speilberg had a hand in the show when it first started, but abandoned ship (pun intended) not long after NBC started getting more involved.
