Sean Hannity tonight clashed with radical London imam Anjem Choudary

I saw some of this interview. Hannity barely let him talk and kept changing the scope of his questions. I think the guy was being quite frank and it wasn't surprising. If you ask a christian if they would like all governments to be based on christian values and everyone to be a christian, they will say the same thing he did. Because Sharia Law doesn't align with our world view is the only reason that makes this "scarier" than a christian saying that the 10 commandments should be followed by everyone.

Christians who say that sort of thing get mocked constantly and labeled as "scary". Why shouldn't the same apply to other zealots?

I find this type of equivalency rather naive and at worst a problem. Sharia law is a very oppressive set of laws. Even if Christians created laws based on the 10 commandments it would not resemble Sharia law. Govt based on Christian values or even Islamic values would not resemble one based on Sharia law.

Sharia law is scary because it is oppressive. Not because our world views don't align.

Ask yourself this. Would you rather face a criminal or civil court in England, France, Germany, Canada, The United States or Saudi Arabia, Iran, Kuwai, UAE, and Sudan?

The person is a discusting example of a human being. Hope someone in the UK has the balls enough to off the fuck.

This has nothing to do with religion, but evil incarnate.

Ugh, makes me feel weird being on the side of Sean Hannity. But screw people that want their religious view pushed on anyone and everyone.

I know i felt weird posting too. But, I seen the clever evil fuck talk before. He needs to stop breathing. Yea, that guy really gets to me.

Not a big Hannity fan myself, but that Choudary guy is a real dipshit. The fact that he has many followers and happily spews his hate in England shows you how fucked they are over there, just like France. Islam is simply not compatible with Western core values, and they've allowed so many into their countries that now it's become difficult if not impossible to stop.

IIRC, Hannity has that guy on whenever there's anything "terror" related in the news cycle. Wouldn't surprise me if Sean has a deal going with him. That said, the guy's an ass.

The three things that most Christians want are: Adoptions not abortions, self help and not pity, and prayer to a God.

There just like the islamist.... :whiste:

I don't even know how you'd begin to create laws based around the 10 commandments since 40% of them are just about worshiping the right God in the correct way. But I agree that comparing Sharia law to American evangelical Christianity is a blatant false equivalence (no matter how much I disagree with evangelical Christians).

He is an extremist twit,... lives it up and then demands people listen and do what he says;

Because they serve a purpose, they are somewhat more marketable for obvious reasons, also perhaps that people with good intelligence are not interested in being a religious leader, so the vaccum will be filled by ambitious and power seeking people, so far i never met a religious man that was challenging intellectualy speaking, i find them quite weak in this respect since they are relying on what appears to me to be myths and blind acceptation of dogmas.

Sharia Law is followed and practiced by Muslims everyday in the US and always has been.
It seems a lot of people have been convinced that all Muslims want to bring the type of Sharia Law practiced in a couple of countries in the Middle East here

God I hate watching Hannity interviews. He only asks loaded questions and doesn't care at all what the person has to say.

Cue interview preface, cue Hannity with introducing person "So basically you are saying you hate babies?"

The Nicene Creed is scary, yet millions of worshipers chant it in large group in the USA without any hint of fear.

he was crucified for us under Pontius Pilate, and suffered, and was buried, and the third day he rose again, according to the Scriptures, and ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of the Father; from thence he shall come again, with glory, to judge the quick and the dead;we look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen.

That is some walking dead shit! D:

Throw in some Muhammad/Prophet/Sharia terms in there for the Jesus terms, you will get the pitchfork/torch rage from the same group.

this radical needs to be locked away for life. Doesn't the UK have harsh hate speech laws?

I did not watch the video nor do I want to watch it. Going by your description, this person is heavily conditioned. However, there are many Western people who are heavily conditioned and hold equally dangerous views but in a different way. Should they be locked away too or is locking away only reserved for non-Western people?

That is the only Islam that we know.

This is the only Islam you know if you go by what's reported in the media. If you talk to a Muslim, you will soon realize that though his conditioning is different from your conditioning, he is the same - he has fears, just like you; he has hatreds, just like you; he has ambitions, just like you. There is very, very little difference once you take away the religious mask people wear.
