Sean Hannity Ratings Plummet, Loses Half His Viewers After Election

Sean Hannity’s ratings have plummeted after the 2012 election, as the conservative television host saw his audience dwindle after GOP challenger Mitt Romney failed to unseat President Obama.

Hannity saw his audience fall by about 50 percent after the election ended.

Among the important demographic of viewers aged 25-54, Sean Hannity’s ratings were even worse. More than half of what is known as the “money demo” stopped watching.

Many believe that Sean Hannity’s ratings suffered as a result of his failed rhetoric.

I, for one, am surprised that cable news ratings dropped following the conclusion of the biggest news story in 4 years.

I nearly wet my pants when turned on the computer and saw this.

Hopefully Rush, Levin, Beck and all of these America hating fuckers get knocked off the air.

Naturally, we conservatives go into hibernation for another 4 (or 2, rather) years until we can actually get shit done in the real world of "workers" and nonsense like that.

Still, millions of delusional Americans in full concious mode actually choose to believe these hate mongering lie-a-minute talking heads. Makes me wonder why these folks would rather live a lie than face reality and move on like the rest of the nation is doing. Being left behind is such a lonely way to live.

People bail on a sinking ship. Air America painfully learned that lesson.

Which plainly explains why progressives are independent-minded and don't feel the need to be lied to on a hourly/daily basis like conservative talk radio does. ;)

Yet somehow you need to be explained why a CEO needs a pay increase to stay on board a sinking Titanic.

And yet damn near every other news outlet is left biased and only provide a token conservative viewpoints....

Agreed. Progessives don't need talk radio to be lied to. They can click on website links to get their fill of that.

I don't see how being lied to by a conservative talking head is any different from being lied to from a conservative hate mongering website when viewed by an independent-minded progressive. Nor is it any different than listening to or viewing a radical liberal viewpoint of which most any normal progressive would avoid like the plague. As evidence, notice how there are far fewer extremist liberal media outlets in existence than there are far right extremist ones.

Rachel Maddow's Surge Is Fox News' Worst Ratings Nightmare

MSNBC's Rachel Maddow and Ed Schultz have retained most of their viewership in the weeks following election night, and CNN's Anderson Cooper has lost almost none. With ratings holding strong after Obama's reelection and Maddow appearing on The Colbert Report, it appears like MSNBC is making good on president Phil Griffin's plan to bolster the channel's brand awareness.

Fox News experienced by far the slowest year-over-year growth amongst the three major cable news channels.

Troll, do we really need 5/30 of the front page threads on P&N started by you because you spam P&N like it's your personal blog?

I didn't realize that "more accurate" = "left bias." Let's just look at an obvious example, considering the topic of this thread. Who was reporting that who would win by how much? Fox predicting that Romney would win = right bias, while everyone else predicting reality = left bias??

Dave is such a tool, I wonder if he will ever get tired of his big diaper baby crying posts and just go out and get productive...its pretty painful to watch his train wreck of a life unfold on thses forums....

With that said it was just after an election where the major player lost, the next major election is pretty far off...no suprise that he lost viewership.

but with that said, anyone who watches garbage like Maddow, Matthews, O'Donnell, Rush, or Hannity for anything more than the yucks is just a moron, those shows are all hosted by assholes.

Maddow is a boring cow, Hannity is a blowhard, O'Donnell is a fake slimebag idiot, Matthews is a suck up, and Rush is another self important douche.

Yes, the right had the voter turnout models wrong for the election. That is not bad reporting, that is just being wrong in the end. OF course this election could have easily gone the other way as well

Of course neither party has the monopoly on good or bad ideas. Reality does not tilt leftward nearly as often as many liberals now try claim.

With a 50% loss does Fox still have 4 times the ratings as everyone else? Serious question.

no surprise. hannity has gotten more and more nuts over the years. When he had the show with err. whats his name he was ok. i even enjoyed it since they had both sides. when he got his own show he went off the deep end.
