Man now it's official...2020 just went from sucking some serious ass to contending for worst year ever.

His obit on the BBC:

Didn't know the part of taking on 6 gang members who stole his coat and winning...guess the "tough guy persona" wasn't made up for the movies.

Uhh... it long ago won that title.
What other year in your life time could even compare?
2020 wins by an order of magnitude here.

One of my absolute favourite actors of all time. I was disappointed when he retired. I missed meeting him by seconds 20 years ago. He was in town here visiting the owners of an exclusive golf course at their office tower and when I got on the elevator everyone was buzzing about how he just got off. Probably a good thing as I’d have been a total fanboi anyway.

RIP.

Wow, a truely bad-ass dude.

RIP Sir Sean Connery. You will be missed.

My personal favorite role he played was in The Untouchables and as a kid I watched Highlander about 10,000 times. Definitely one of the greats. R.I.P.

He was the original Bond. Liked his roles. RIP

I have always been disappointed in his propensity to be physically abusive to the women in his life. That is a stain I can say tarnishes his acting efforts.

2020 is nowhere near done with us its true. At least in this case it wasn't before his time, living to 90 is a full life. What I posted in the other thread:

Scotland Forever.

RIP you glorious bastard, 'may you be in heaven an hour before the devil knows you're dead.'

Time to watch The Untouchables again.

RIP legend.

May the Sean Connery impressions never be forgotten as well. SNL Jeopardy! skits with SC and Burt Reynolds are hall of fame.

Losing Fred Willard already killed the year for me tho.

Agreed. For me it was Terry Jones.

Hey Trebek. I've just remembered the names of some other ladies I've snogged, you ponce.

Sad news. The Untouchables was the first “R” movie my dad took me to see in the theaters, and Dr. No is still my favorite of all the bond movies. He was incredible in Time Bandits, The Name of the Rose, Highlander, The Hunt for Red October and even The Rock.

I know Rising Sun flopped but I liked his char in that one. Think the first movie I saw with him was Goldfinger.
