Sealed Adata S599 64GB SSD - already has a primary partition installed?

This is strange. I've never bought a HD (well, a non-external HD), that came prepartitioned. What's up with that.

Anyone else buy an Adata 64GB SSD, and find it out was partitioned?

Also, for some reason, on my X48-DS5 mobo, with the SSD in Intel port 0, and a 1TB Hitachi in port 1, Win7 64-bit setup seems to think that the Hitachi is drive 0. I don't want that. Should I unplug the Hitachi?

Edit: Perhaps this isn't so sinister. The partition wasn't bootable, or at least it didn't contain a bootable OS. So perhaps they pre-partition these drives to ensure proper alignment?

yes the microcenter G2 was formatted. which is good for some and not for others.

don't trust any drive - they could have put a MBR virus on it.
