Beats the black friday price I was kicking myself for not jumping on. In for one, thanks OP!

I'm sad NewEgg.com won't let me purchase items with a Canadian credit card. I guess Amazon will keep getting more of my business.

Can't you use paypal or something?

Thanks OP been waiting on a deal for this drive.

in for one... anyone know who's drive this is?
Seagate's. It's not a repackaged/rebranded drive, but a LAMD controller (like the Neutrons) w/ custom Seagate firmware, and Toshiba MLC. I wouldn't get it for any new portable computer, though, as it does not support HIPM or DIPM, and isn't low-power otherwise (but, I'm talking about a fraction of 1W at idle, here, so no worries for anything plugged in all of the time, nor a powerful notebook where that won't significantly affect battery life).

i used canadian cards all the times! thing is newegg.com do not ship to canada usually, they tell you to use newegg.ca but if you have a us address it's different.

I just placed an order for two drives using PayPal (Thanks for the suggestion skull!). We'll see if the order goes through tomorrow and how these drives fare in my systems. 🙂

It has a Link A Media LM87800 controller

, which the same as the Corsair Neutron series.

This drive is supposed to be excellent (at least, for desktop usage), and this is the cheapest I've ever seen it.
