I know Maxtor has no problem RMA'ing their drives without proof of purchase. Curious is Seagate the same? Also do they offer a advanced RMA like Maxtor?

 
My first Seagate. I am buying it off the forums. I got 2 options I can spend $35 shipped for one with about 6 months warranty left and IDE or I can go $60 for the same drive but SATA and has warranty till 2009. Kinda on a budget but would it be worth it to just go with the $60?
