Do you all realize that main reason for these types of lawsuits has nothing to do with the issue at hand.

While every one of us might get a "little bag of peanuts?, the whole settlement is in the Millions.

Somewhere there is a law firm (or few firms) that gets 33% of the value of the whole settlement as their legal fees.

Another side effect is that companies take past legal losses into consideration when developing marketing plans for new products.

I agree. I own nothing but Seagate drives and I will not try to benefit from this at all. I have no need to rip off that company because some tool out there is broke and decided to sue for something as pathetic as a gigabyte.
