Seagate 400GB SATA - $99.99 w/free shipping

it's randomly 7200.9 or 7200.10
performance wise i think they are not that much different, unless you have a thing for Perd Rec technology

i actually read failure rate in 10 are higher than 9, but these are all unsubstantiated reports

I thought TigerDirect rebates were NoNos!
Tiger Direct had a bad reputation and appears to have decided to clean up their act. Their recent promotions have been no worse than anyone else's. White Bear Lake = Helgeson Enterprises; not be the fastest processor but they do pay. And of course Seagate will definitely stand behind promotions for its products.

When I bought this drive, I got the 7200.10, and I've found it to be a nice drive for my HTPC.
Seagates are not good for HTPC. TOO noisy. I have the 7200.10 version of this drive. I have a completely silent PC except for one component, the hard drive. I can heard the hard drive grinding away in my bed room at night. The HTPC is transcoding TV shows.
