if the ST3400832A product code is correct, this should be a 7200.8 series drive.

I don't see preorder anywhere, according to my page it's just ground shipping.

Are these the drives that had all the problems?

Or was that the 7200.9 ones?

Ha! Good thing I didnt open the 500GB Seagate for $190 I got last week... that's going back. :D

Thanks OP! Hope my order goes through... some people got theirs cancelled for the other 400GB deal.

i got my 400GB 16MB cache drive thursday after i ordered it wednesday night.

thinking hard about getting this for my work rig

7200.8's are the "problem" drives. I don't know how much of a problem they really are or not though.
