Seagate 320GB Sata II, question

ordered 2 for raid mode, just curious as to why it comes out of the box with jumper in position to limit it at 1.5 gbs a sec instead of the 3 is should be at, i can easily take them out.. i was just wondering as to why they are there to begin with...

My guess is that many people don't have SATA3 capable motherboards but they do have SATA1.5 thus the reason for the jumper setting. Besides, it's a few seconds of removing the jumper and placing it where you need it to be. It's not like it's going to kill or hurt you in any way/shape/form.

Right - the jumper is to set it at SATA I or SATA II.
