looks like the TigerDirect one comes up the cheapest....I just ordered 2 of those drives from TD the other week at that price, great drives, great price....shipping was $14 I believe for the 2 drives, but still a great price for no MIR's and a 5 year warranty drive.

This is a 7200.7 drive so no NCQ but still a great price for Seagate warranty.

*edit* hmmm not sure about my info on the 7200.7 number. I just bought an NCQ seagate from newegg that is also 7200.7

Ok. The ST3200826AS is the NCQ version. Zipzoomfly has it for $129 so it's not as hot as this deal.

Not to sound like I'm thread crapping but the one at TD is the 7200.7 model which I believe doesn't support NCQ and is 8.5 ms seek time. You have to go to the 7200.8 to get NCQ and the 8.0 ms seek time.

It looks like Seagate is dumping inventory on all their 7200.7s to push the 7200.8s out more. I've heard from some of the resellers that deals are just going to keep getting better on the older 7200.7s

That zipzoomfly deal on the 7200.8 SATA is hot.

Too bad everybody wants insane amounts of the 400 GB :(

With a 5 year warranty, I'd hope it's good or else they'll be paying a lot for RMAs. :)

I had 2 out of 4 Maxtors in my array die last year. Even lost part of a RAID-5 because they died too quickly after each other.

Spent several days researching here, storagereview and a few other places and bought Seagate 7200.7s because of excellent experiences everywhere. Not a single beep of problem.

ASLabs, one of my employer's vendors warned us that the high-capacity versions (300 and 400 GB) have lots of prolems, for all makes. Anybody heard anything along those lines?
