check around... you will see that people are having problems in getting their rebates from seagate...bummer...in the end its only going to hurt seagate.

Huh never heard of that problem. Seagate already is begining to get the reputation of building some crappy drives, now this....

Outpost wants $10 shipping to the west coast, factor in tax for some and you have a pretty decent deal from Amazon.

A better deal here... this is what I did.

Go to Staples and have them 110% price match THIS ad from Fry's at Staples for this Maxtor 200gig Drive
(yes, Fry's ad is the exact same drive)

Next, apply this $15 off $75 coupon.

End result I walked out of the store with the 200gig drive around $76. Hurry though... it might expire today.

Just did that last night, thanks for the heads up.

No Staples within 100's of miles of here, so doesn't get a lot better when you need a drive right now . 5 Year Seagate rebate owns you when you're replacing a dead Western Digital that just went out of 1 year warranty by 2 weeks...
