I take it that it may mean that their warehouse may or may not necessarily have the item in stock and ready to ship out that they cannot put guarantee on estimated time of arrival.

I think Best Buy will have this on sale this coming up week as well for $199, nice to see the price drops. Micro Center has the "Green" 1TB WD drives for $199 currently. Low power and less heat 3year warranty vs 5 years, but still not bad at all.

Make that $189.99 according to the BB ad that falconress posted. They show as web only on the BB site, I am going to drop by my local one to see if they have any on the shelf today.

I would normally buy at Fry's over Worst Buy, but with Worst Buy I would sometimes go with them because of the BB credit I have with them. No payments/interest for 90 days for all purchases AND I get Reward Zone points for my puchase. If Fry's had something like that, I probably wouldn't have a reason to shop at Worst Buy anymore.

Picked up 4 today at BB on price match for $189. No one drive limit like at Fry's. Also BB credit card perks come with the purchase.

What's the difference between Fry's SG 1TB ST1000340AS-RK versus Best Buy's SG 1TB ST310005N1A1AS-RK??

I have the best buy seagate and the model number on the actual unit is ST31000340AS(ST310005N1A1AS-RK on the box) so asuming ST1000340AS-RK is a typo as I can't find this on segates website I would say they are the same drive.

Yep, seems to be equivalent drive with typo/omission of the first '3' on the Fry's website to identify the form factor and with the RK as 'retail kit' per Seagate's numbering system

Just bought 2 from the Best Buy today, but I am debating whether to go for this or the Samsung 750GB over at ZZF? The Samsung has a 3 year warranty vs 5 year with Seagate, but the Samsung is better cost $ per gig. It comes down to reliability. Performance difference is little so I don't mind about that.

I just got mine from outpost.

oddity - drive label says it's an OEM, and go to your OEM for support. I was concerned it didn't have a warranty, but seagate's site says it's covered till march 2013.

Waiting on the one from BB to get here to upgrade my backup drives...and then I'll be selling PATA drives like crazy.
