A lot of boxes say 1 year, etc. But if you run the serial number, there are ones with 5 year warranties. My 200GB Seagate said 1 year on the box, but ran the serial number (5 year warranty). Seagate didn't produce new boxes in time for their new policy on 5 year warranty policy.

I love the Seagate rebates. Bought two 120gb drives. Each came with a $20 rebate. So far I have received double rebates ($40) for each drive. I guess that I should return the extra $20.
