Yup, it is nice and only ONE rebate to deal with too. I liked the way Seagates rebates work, they send an email confirming they received it and email you when they send the check. Very, very nice.

Outpost does this specail often and a buddy and I ordered them without problems in the past.

how is it different from adding any HDD to your xbox?
 
Replacing the hard drive of your XBOX will get you banned from XBOX Live if you have an account there.

2 of my friends, with modded XBOX's, very large hard drives, and XBOX Live accounts; both had their XBOX Live privilidges taken away, even though they paid for a full 1 year subscription.

One of the guys called M$ XBOX support and the support rep told them that M$ has a complete list of all hard drive serial numbers shipped with each and every XBOX. When his serial# did not come up in the database, he was kicked off XBOX Live for good!

I am not finding deals that are too great on the SATAs...the WD Raptor is on sale at New Egg for ~150, but that's not quite what I'm looking for. You can get a good seagate or maxtor for around a hundred if you buy just the bare drives or OEM versions tho.

how long does it take for your rebate to go through?
 
Is it possible to get one from best buy and one online from outpost and still get both rebates. Would be a sweet raid setup for 100 bucks.
 
I just ordered one, it didn't say anything about being out of stock that I saw?? It was only around $1.50 for more 2nd day shipping so I went for that, so it must be back in stock now.

I wondr if I could order one for my Brother on my credit card, but have it shipped to his address and still get the rebate (thru his address and name)?? Anybody know if that would work?
 
I got my hard drive from Outpost yesterday. $109.56 shipped 2nd day air - $50 rebate = 59.56 shipped. Now my 40 gig and 20 gig can say goodbye. 🙂

There's already an app out that spoofs the HD serial# so you can get on live if you switch drives.
