I am not into pm'ing or rebates so this is a decent deal. I just got one shipped. The area my store is in is too busy to go and deal with the crowds.

Did a PM with Circuit City at the register for $54.99 + tax. Showed a copy of the Office Max ad which was next door. Young male CSR handed out the CC $30 MIR form and said "that's a heck of a deal", smiled back and said "of course it is". $40 MIR from Seagate did not print out. In and out the store within 10 minutes.

$59.25 - $.74 stamps + $40 Seagate MIR + $30 CC rebate = $11.49. 😀

Would it be possible to get the Seagate $40 MIR if you buy this at office max? That'd be $60 - $40 MIR = $20, and you wouldn't have to hassle with the PM. I was just wondering since it's supposed to be a manufacturer MIR.

Shelf was empty at 9 am at the local OM.
Asked the kid: he smiled and brought 5 out the back room , gave me one and saved 4 under the counter - "only if you ask" he said.

49.99 with $10-off in store coupon. Too bad 2 more coupons already expired.

Replaced wife's 80GB - this will keep her videos for a while and I have 80 GB for backups.

Thanks guys! Worked great in Mishawaka, IN. Price matched OM and total came to $63.59. You should have seen the cashier's face when both the $30 CC and $40 Seagate rebates printed out.

$63.59 - $40 -$30 = They pay me $6.41!!!!😀

Why are we buying so many HD??? When DVD are so much better for storage, best bangs for the buck and longevity. 30.00 for 200 = 940gb of storage.

Gee I dunno, maybe because a lot of folks are getting paid to get one with a PM at your friendly CC?

The speed alone makes me love HDs more than DVDs. Good deal OP.

Hmm...maybe because a HD is an essential part of a PC....

Have you ever tried to install an OS on a DVD? I've had much more success installing Windows on a harddrive than a DVD, how about the rest of you guys? DVDs are okay for storage, unless you need to constantly swap them to get to what you stored, harddrives are better... IMHO

😉

Great deal OP, wish I hadn't invested in a bunch of those 120GB drives from BB last week. Oh well... When it rains, it pours.

Glendor...

I run a media server for my house, so I can NEVER have too many Hard Drives.

(1) 160GB HD --- WinXP plus games = 30GB, Storage,Pics and Music = 120GB
(1) 160GB HD --- Page File = 2GB, Backup of my Xbox HD = 60GB, Backups of my Server and Home Theater PC = 60GB, plus Bittorrent files
(1) 250GB HD --- 400 Music Videos = 25GB, 10 Complete TV Seasons on Demand = 200GB (Lost, Entourage, Rome, Smallville, 24, etc.....)

I need to get another 300GB HD for my TV Shows alone especially since capturing High Definition is 10GB per 1 hour.. soooo a 300GB gives me only 30Hours of HD capturing

Also need another 300GB HD so I can put my TV Shows on it exclusively, and my Music Videos, Music CD's, and Photos can be on it exclusively. Of course all backed up to DVD's too! 🙂

Hope you can see why you can never have too many Hard Drives....

What I'm saying... 160gb isn't much I can fill it up in less then a week. We need 500-600gb hot deals. It's too easy to fill it up and at 59.99 is still too pricey imho. Better to use a very large hd then multiple HD... they waste too much electricity, its bad in the summer and bad for your computer as well if the heat are excessive.

Got in on this deal! Shelf was empty at store #1122 in Doraville, GA. I asked for it and they had plenty in a locked room.

Why do they do that? Like as if they dont want to sell them....Officemax.....No wonder why I never step foot in there.
