Nice price, but not flaming. You can get the drive for $99 with free shipping from googlegear.com, so you're saving around $10. I'm assuming the item is the same as they have the same part number. I guess that means the dartek drive is OEM too, since the googlegear one says it's 'bare'.

Why do people always have to find something to bitch about? Find the coupon (unless you need someone to hold your little hand), save $24 (in my case) and buy it. Enough with the nonsense already....

Damn. What an idiot. When I made my post I saw one post about a possible $10 coupon for new customers. Until it was verified it still seemed iffy and like I said, "Nice price, but not flaming". How the hell do you get bitching from that? You however obviously do have problems since you feel the need to bitch about my opinion. Get a #$@^%! life.

What is there to verify? Can't you use google to check to see if the coupon is there? It's not that hard, dood. A few people posted and made reference to the fact they got the drive for under $80. You came along saying you can buy it from some other place for more?? Who cares where you can buy it for, for more???

You = moron

Yes, there is a new customer coupon out there. Just do a google search for Dartek coupons and you will find it at the third one down. Mine shipped 2 day air for $11. Nice deal for $80!

for those that are still looking for the $10 coupon, chk B$'s coupon section. dont know what B$ is? chk my sig.

//krunk (^_^x)

Nice deal! I was looking for a large, cheap drive that I could throw in this Firewire enclosure here on my desk, and again, Anandtech has come through! My total ended up @ $80.75 after the coupon and shipping. Guess thats what happens when they ship with UPS and you live in the city of Fedex's world headquarters! 😀

I ordered the drive as well. Great post. I'm getting this for my brother. Shipping was only 7.02 to Massachusetts.. I hope it doesnt get bakcordered aor anything..

Nice post! When I clicked on the link it took me right to the drive but it was listed at 7200 RPM and said to call for availability. I went ahead and ordered with the $10.00 discount. Total came to $81.06 delivered...if it goes through.

Nice price.

BTW, what is the fastest hard drive? Western Digital?

Also, do they call you to confirm order?

this may not be the fastest hard drive, but IMHO, it is the BEST.

the accoustics are amazing on this drive, and it is much more thermally sound than the barracuda IV (which is notoriously bad thermally, but also pretty good accoustically).

this deal is super hot, got one shipped for ~77 to no. cal.

I like the deal and I am not complaining but what about this?

Liquidation products are non-returnable and order fulfillment is subject to availability. Due to the low pricing and limited quantities of liquidation products, your order may not be fulfilled even after it has been processed. Quantities shown on the liquidation site are not live but are maintained as accurately as possible.

So if it is DOA I am stuck with the drive?
