SDRAM vs DDR.......Help needed..

I just got a new ATX case with motherboard,950 AMD K7 Tbird. I am new to the building aspect of a system and have a couple of questions.

1. The MB has 2 slots for SDRAM and 2 slots for DDR. Which is the best type of memory to use?

2. Not that I really want to do it, but does anyone know if the 950 can be overclocked and if so, how much?
Thanks

1. DDR carries similar price as SDR RAM. Go DDR.
2. Depends on the stepping of the CPU. Generally 1.1 to 1.2 Ghz seem realistic. Also depends on other components in ur box as well.

I agree with bozo1, but it depends on what you are gonna use the system for and how much you are willing to spend. If it is a gaming or graphics intensive system, then definitely DDR. But, if you are just trying to save some bucks the go with SDR because you will only notice a 10-15% increase in performance and that is if you are running apps that use a lot of RAM.
