SDRAM - Socket A motherboard recommendations?

I am currently using a KT7A which is requiring to be RMA'd. (PS/2 slot is no longer working, USB keyboard functions not all working, can only use one RAM slot etc - but otherwise stable and reliable.)

I was thinking about buying another motherboard as a replacement until the Abit is returned. ( I need to send it back to Hong Kong where I purchased it)

I'm currently running a Duron 1G at 1.2G in the KT7A.

Any suggestions - K75SA sounds like a bargain - but not much overclocking potential it would appear?

What do you recommend?

I have 512MB of SDRAM so no wish to change to DDR RAM :(

if you really dont want to buy new ddr then you are pretty limited

you can always go with one of the older tried and true kt133a boards

if you want a newer board you can look at the k7s5a that you mentioned.. there is also the a7a266-e (its based on the ali chipset, but much faster then the original a7a266)

SiS735 is much faster than KT133A, even faster than KT266, only VIA KT266A can beat SiS735. My suggestion, take K7S5A, it's still overclockable using New modified BIOS from OCWORKBENCH forum.

Yeah, bowie is right, ECS K7S5A is as stable as you can imagine. See this Thread.

If you want different choice you can go with ASUS A7A266 [AMD 761]
or if you must go with KT133A I suggest you go with ASUS A7V133.
