SDHC vs MicroSDHC

Are they two different cards or does the micro go into the SDHC?
Or is the microSDHC adapter different from an sdhc card? :\

MicroSD cards are extremely small and thin, whereas standard SDHC cards are normal-sized. MicroSD is generally used in cellphones and MP3 players that don't have space for a full-sized SD slot. However, the downside is that MicroSD cards are generally quite a bit slower than standard SD cards.

I'm your worst nightmare.

And I'm glad you're using the correct forum, finally.
I needed a quick answer and I didn't think any of the OT Mods had big enough balls to move my thread.
You'll notice they didn't sign it.

So does a "6" or a "4" rating on a micro SDHC mean the same speeds as with a std. SDHC card ?

We bought a camera and a card for the granddaughter's birthday.
Wife bought the micro when the camera says sdhc. My MP3 player takes microsdhc. I am having them send the micro to me and I overnighted a SDHC to them. Only because the full sized card is faster and I can use the micro card.

trans-flash is not the same as SD at all. SD bought trans-flash out and put their name (micro) on it.

My understanding is that SDHC (Secure Digital High Capacity) and MicroSDHC cards are essentially the same, except for the size. They make adapters for MicroSDHC cards to fit into mini and regular SDHC slots.

As far as the speed rating, I think a class 6 is a class 6. You're generally pay more for a fast (class 6) MicroSDHC card than you would for a regular class 6 SDHC. Higher capacity Micro cards are also generally more expensive than their regular-sized counterparts.

I usually buy Micro whenever I can just for more compatibility. Maybe I'm using it for computer storage right now, but down the road I might want a 16GB card in my cellphone instead (especially when 64 and 128GB become the norm).
