SD/ MMC

Yes for the most part.

Some SD readers and laptop ones will not read MMC though, so you have to CHECK to see if it will take it.

My MMC would not work in my friends Toshiba laptop reader. My SD worked in it.

the majority of SD readers / devices will read MMC

but

many MMC readers / devices will NOT read SD.

if i can remember, SD has an extra pint from MMC for data verification and secure it.

it should. no harm done if it doesn't work. you'll prolly get an error if it doesn't.
