SD card issue with PC?

I have a Dell monitor with the SD slot on teh side. Neither of my SD cards will read from it. Also have a USB SD adapter. Plugged it into a usb hub and it doesn't recognize either. I also tried the SD USB adapter in my antec case as well. still won't recognize. Regular USB thumb drives work fine on the USB ports on my LCD, the hub, and my antec case.

Also, I can plug the camera with tehSD card inside it into any of the usb ports and the pc sees it.

I don't have any other SD cards to test with but does anyone know of a reason this might happen?

System specs in sig.

There's SD, and then there's SDHC. Are either of your cards <4GB?

Yeah, sorry. They are SDHC. Wasn't even thinking. WOuld that make them not compatible with the ports on the LCD and the adapter?
