No I haven't said one way or the other. Fun is very hard to guage. It is fun, but is it more fun? hrmm I can't really make that distinction between consoles, maybe between individual games I could. I know one thing though, the wii games I had played were fun, but the fun didnt last. the fun was in the act of movement as a control, but not in actually playing the games. I would compare it to "horsing around" type of fun. The games were not competitive or challenging enough for my standards.

no, i don't know millions of other people. i have no idea how you got that from my post. but since nintendo can't keep them on shelves for more than 10 minutes at a time, its safe to bet that people like it, or it would be sitting on the shelf, right next to that POS PS3.

Sub-par? It's small, it's quiet, it's fun, it's cheap, and the control system is neat. It's not meant to compete graphically with the PS3 or Xbox 360. Heck, the games aren't even designed to compete...Nintendo has always been a "fun" game company. I have an Xbox for playing games by myself like Far Cry, Halo, Half-Life 2, and so on. Honestly I don't think I'd recommend a Wii for single-player use, it's more of a party system. Everyone I've had over to play on the Wii has loved it, even my brother who is a PS3 fanboy. He did complain about the graphics initially, but that's kind of like saying a bike stinks because it's not as fast as a car. There's just no comparison - a Wii isn't a PS3, nor is it a 360. It's not designed to do high definition movies or even regular DVDs. It's just a fun game console to play with your family and friends. Nothing sub-par about it...

Yes its the rapala trophy game, its on all platforms though, which leads me to believe they did not spend much time integrating the wiimote, which probably resulted in the bad reviews. Theres another one coming out soon and hopefully that will be a lot better. I would buy the wii again for a top notch fishing game.

You just listed like 4 reasons/facts about how the Wii is below average when compared to current consoles, then said theres "Nothing sub-par about it".

So you saw no challenge in trying to get pro in all the games on Wii Sports? Trying to get a few under par on the 9 holes of golf? No competition between you and friends in 10 frames of bowling?

The problem isn't Nintendo, it's you. It's perfectly fine that you don't think the Wii suits you, or you don't care for the particular games you've played.

But that doesn't translate into anything more than your personal tastes. It says nothing about the quality of the system, or the games.

lol easy...

it's not in the same class as the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360...heck, it's not even in the same pricerange. It's like comparing a Ferrari, a Lambo, and an RX-8...sure the RX-8 is fun and nice but it's no Ferrari or Lambo. The RX-8 isn't "sub-par" because it's only a $40,000 sports car instead of a $100,000 sports car, it's just in a different class. You're just frustrating yourself if you try to compare them. Right now the only real competition the PS3 has as far as gameplay and graphics goes is the 360, the Wii shouldn't be included in that comparison.

I agree, it's mostly a matter of personal tastes. Personally I haven't found playing Wii games by myself to be very satisfying, but I love using it when I have friends over and wouldn't trade it for the world. Same with other consoles or the PC gaming...I don't really enjoy playing Half-Life 2 with anybody but myself.

not quite, a ferrari or lamborghini are not average cars and cost much more then 100k. you've got your example a bit off, but you've got the basic idea right. The WII doesn't compare to the x360 or PS3, as for not including it into that comparison, its a console, so it must be included. To think that you can compare how good the Wii is compared to the others but not how bad the Wii is compared to them is naive. Its a console and it is competing in the same market. period.

The 360 doesn't compete with the PS3. Can you believe they released a console that loacks any kind of motion sensing controllers, then dared to call it "next-gen"? Weak sauce! The Wii and PS3 are the only true "next-gen" systems, and the only ones that compete directly with each other.

:p

the topic is about the SD card.
Anyways, you get what you pay for, but the Wii gives you more for your buck than does the PS3 in terms of console gameplay

Yes it is about personal taste, but I don't see whats wrong with that. When it comes down to it personal tastes and opinions are all that matters. But of course its going to be different from person to person and most of the time you won't see it the way the other person does. Thats also one of the reasons why I said fun is hard to guage. Basically thats what naked asked me, and thats what I gave, my personal opinion about how fun it was.

As for my personal opinion having nothing to do with the systems quality or the games quality, it actually has a lot to do with it. its not so much the quality but just how the system is, its the impression it left on me and if it were a different system i would have a different opinion.

Gentleman, gentleman just remember this...

Also...the whole saving on an SD card is a PITA at the moment but I'm not too worried about it....considering I'll just use a 2GB to make backup copies of my save files right now...
