lexar doesn't actually oem SD cards though
Because the package says Impact by Lexar Media. The package itself is HUGE! There's this tiny card in packaging that 14" x 9"

These were in the BF ad but not part of the early bird specials.

Rats! Checked one of my local Wal-Marts (SoCal) and they didn't have it. All they had on the shelf were Kodak, Panasonic, Lexar, and Fuji brands. No Impact and no hot deal.
These aren't on the shelf with the other media cards. If your store has a film developing dept near electronics, look there. I saw them on a shelf behind the film drop off counter.

The store on Carson & Paramount had 3 left this afternoon. Don't know if they have more under the counter.

I'm saddened by the news that there ARE NO WAL MARTS IN THE CITY OF LOS ANGELES that is just ridiculous, the closest one says los angeles, but its really in the city of Baldwin...... too far....

I guess you didn't see the 512mb Sandisk for $99 or your same deal posted 9 days ago @ FW.

its good for ppl like me who dont need 512mb.

and for ppl who missed the FW one, esp since the FW one stopped getting bumped after the 25th.

did anyone do a performance test on this? is it hi-speed? if so, i may just have to consider getting one (cause already got in on the ecost 128 kingston)

No wonder why Paris Hilton didn't know what it was and said it was a place that sold walls. lol 😀

That was a good one!

You are unlikley to find this deal as it was a "one time offer" in the "Blitz"ad , each store only had a small amt and when they are gone the deal is gone......good luck though

I picked one up Friday night. All of the Wal-Marts around here (3) have continued to sell what they had left over from the Blitz at the Blitz prices. The SD cards sold out by Sat. morning, but they're still selling the $99 (20" Flatscreen) and $139 (27") TV's, and the DVD/CD combo unit. Everything else got wiped out in the Blitz.

I hate to post this twice but,

If someone gets one could you please post the serial/model # on the back of the card and where it is made. I have an axim and it likes to reject alot of cards.

thx

Back of mine reads...

D000 BK3JC 002225
128MB MADE IN JAPAN

I also tried it in a coworker's Axim X3 and it worked just fine.

Came in very large, yet plain packaging with very little information (not even any warranty information). Says "Return to Wal-Mart for Quality Developing" on the bottom, to it appears to be a Wal-Mart exclusive by Lexar.

This definately is a hot deal. I went to Wal Mart after work and they must've had 30 of them in stock. They were hanging in the same place as all the other flash memory cards. The funny thing is they were right next to the 64MB SD cards made by Kodak that were selling for $43. :Q I almost picked up 2, but I really don't need 2. The only device I have that uses SD is my new DV camcorder and being that most camcorders don't take great still images I don't plan on taking a crap-load of pics with it. I got it strickly in case I need it.

I checked Newegg just for the heck of it and the cheapest 128MB SD card they had was a "Dane Elec" and it was $42.

Overall hot deal.

Heya fellas!

Long time AT Hot Deal reader, first time poster.

Well I want to give a heads up for the Houston area readers looking into this deal.

I went to 5 Walmarts (Pasadena and East Houston areas) along the way to work and NONE of them had it on stock. In fact the photo lab techs and eletronics dept help doesnt even remember seeing this item in stock. So YMMV if you in East Houston, TX.

Can anyone help me get one of these cards? Willing to forward monies thur PayPal. (Only verified PayPal members please.)

most lexar's are made in japan but even if someone got a japan one from walmart doesnt mean you wont get a taiwan one if you're unlucky ^_^

I didn't see any at walmart in Eddystone, PA Store #2830.
Looked all around photo/electronics section and no sign of them or a display for them.
Anybody that can still get these want to ship?

The bunch that I saw were on a separate display in the middle of an isle and not with the other memory cards.
They were near the photo dept. but not right in it.

Walmart has some crazy pricing policies. Bought some items on clearance at one Walmart. Went to another Walmart and they would not match the price of the first, even after I showed them the receipt! Each store can price items on clearance as it suits the local store manager.

This is a Hot deal thought, even if it's YMMV. I am checking it out at my local WM tomorrow. Ravens game starts at 8:30 pm tonite.
