Scuds Launched? What will France say now?

After Iraq saying we have no more Scuds, then launching one as US troops, what are going the Frence going to say now besides inspections are working?

Well, I guess the fact that they are described as "scud-type" missiles by US officials - and that the debris is currently being inspected by coalition forces to decide exactly what they were and if they broke the UN regulations is kind of important.

They probably were in breach of the UN regulations - but until we know for sure - isn't it a little early to start yelling "told you so!"?

SCUDs are in breach of UN regulations regarding allowed Iraqi missiles. Iraq claimed to be in compliance. Hence the problem if these turn out to be SCUDS.

They are reporting it was not 3 scuds, but 3 al-samood 1 missles, 1 got hit by a patriot, 1 hit the sand somewhere, and one broke up in flight.. MsNBC reported this

That is bound to happen to any missiles. Not just Iraq ones.

France wont say anything. There was nothing of great concern with those missiles, they were standard warheads.
