SCSI Write Speeds With SP1

Has anyone tried SP1 with SCSI drives and basic disk to see if the service pack improved write speeds without having to convert to dynamic disk?

The problem has -not- been resolved. I had SP1 uninstalled on a machine to troubleshoot another problem so I ran the ATTO test which gave me the usual bad write speeds on basic disks. I just installed SP1 and ran the test again, and have the same results.

My test read results are also showing 15-20 MB/sec slower than before SP1 in ATTO, however, the speeds show the same in HD Tach, so I don't know what's up. 🙁

Naw, more like "It's not a priority" since XP is not a server platform (yet), and the vast majority of users are using IDE drives.

What's a few thousand users in a galaxy of tens of millions who can't even spell SCSI?

Wait for it, they get to it. (or move along to *nix).

FYI, there's a big thread going on over at the Storagereview.com forums about this. I check it every now and then to keep up to date on the whole SCSI performance thing.
