scsi raid help...badly needed

ok....looking for answers to my RAID problem. I have an Adaptec 2100s Card running 3 ddys IBM drives. All 18.2GB. Now I constantly having one of these drives drop out of the RAID. These drives are running on a backplane by the way. Now i have tried 2 different SCSI cards....i have bought new drives, I have been through 5 different backplanes. And these drives keep dropping out of the RAID. Now the problem that i am encountering is that the driver failure isn't consistent. The drivesr are good...i ran them through a diagnostic and the drives are ok. Although when it drops off the RAID, it seems to corrupt the NT and winNT can no longer boot. Any solutions? I hope I went over the major details....answers would be good
