SCSI Raid-1 Setup very slow in second drive

Hi guys,

I currently have a server computer running Windows NT 4.0 Server with 4 SCSI drive - 2 18GB drive and 2 36.4GB drive, running a Raid1 setup.

The first 2 18GB drives are currently my C drive and the 2 36.4GB drives are my D drive. I noticed that accessing data from my C drive is many times faster than my D drive. Is there a reason for that? All 4 drives are 7200 rpm drives.

Thanks

Kamui

Describe your setup better please. SOftware raid from OS or hardware raid controller? C: = 1 18GB drive mirrored by 1 18GB drive? D:= 1 36GB drive mirrored by 1 36GB drive? Are all drives of the same generation? Need input! 🙂
