I know nothing about scsi all I know is that its fast, do i need a special MB i have an epox 8k7a, and SIIG SCSI Card is that where I connect my SCSI to? please explain how this works.

please tell me what parts I need

No, u don't need a special mobo. The main thing needed from the mobo is if u plan on booting from a SCSI HD (Most do), u will need to check the BIOS that it has SCSI as anj option in the boot sequecs. Yeah, you will need an adapter, but not sure what SCSI Card that is so, u may be better off getting a new Tekram, or Adaptec card. Other than the adapter, you just need Cables, Terminators (Both come with Tekram Retail Boxes), and the devices (i.e. Hard Drive's, CD-RW's, CD's, etc).

How old is that 3GB HDD? SCSI doesn't always mean things will be faster. Your standard high density 7200RPM drive would whoop a 3GB SCSI drive which I presume to be an older model.
