SCSI question

I bought a Plextor 12x10x32S CDRW and have not been able to get the RW working.

The drive reads and writes fine but the re-write does not work. I cannot format a blank CD for re-writing.

I have the card on a Fast SCSI controller and not an Ultra SCSI controller. Could this be the cause of my problems? Why would the drive be able to write perfectly w/ Fast SCSI but not be able to re-write at all?

I ended up going to buy an Ultra SCSI controller and have not tried it yet but I'm hoping that solves the re-write problems. Damn, I did not take the into consideration when I decided to stay w/ SCSI and the cost of my CDRW just went up a whole lot LOL.

I don't think SCSI has anything to do with your problem. All that would affect is transfer rates. Are you using re-writable blanks?
