SCSI Problems...

Hello, I am having a trouble with my SCSI setup. I have a Fujitsu 10k RPM hard disk and a Adaptec AHA-2940U2W Controller. When I try to verify media I get this error

Target SCSI ID: 0
SCSI CDB Sent: 2F 00 00 00 28 00 00 08 00 00
Host Adapter Status: 14h - bus phase failure
Target status: 00h - Good status
sense key: N/A
sense Code: N/A
Sense code qualifier: N/A

I'm trying to figure out what has been damaged, the controller or the disk.

Thanks

1. Check to see that you properly terminated the SCSI chain - or check to see that it's properly terminated at your cd drive/hard drive/whatever with the appropriate jumpers.
2. Unplug, blow out, and re-plug in everything, including any terminators. SCSI is very sensitive to poor connections.
3. Go to Adaptec's site, download the latest SCSI bios for your card, and flash the SCSI bios. I don't know what caused your problem, but I've had similar errors when I was using an old bios on a 2940UW card that were fixed by updating the bios, so....

When did the problem occur, and what were you doing to create it? Or did it just happen? It's hard for me to say without knowing how it happened in the first place.

The problem started to occurr after the USPS guy dropped my computer :-(. So far I had to replaced the CPU, heatsink, motherboard, and RAM. So I'm not surprised if my SCSI controller and my SCSI disk are both dead. However, my IDE drive amazingly survived! Also, I did have the latest BIOS from adaptec installed.

thanks!
