Hello, I just recently bought a SCSI Ultra-320 36GB hard drive. I also have an IDE 40gb hard drive. I have installed the drivers for SCSI card and HD and installed XP on it. I wanted to use my old 40gb IDE drive for storage and SCSI for aplications and OS. When I connect SCSI drive it works fine but does not read old hard drive!!! Please help :) I am fairly new so please be slow!

Check your CMOS to see if it recognizes the drive and that it's not set as the first boot drive, which would be the default until you added the SCSI adapter. Also check for other settings that may relate to your drives.

Good luck. :)

Sorry for sounding so nooby, but how do i check my CMOS? How would i change it to secondary or slave drive and SCSI as master? In BIOS it does not see the IDE drive
