SCSI HDD question. ID number settings on LC converter.

Hello. Can Anyone help???
I have a Cheetah 80 pin LC SCSI drive with a converter to 68 pin to connect it to my non hot swapable system. Question: Do I set the SCSI ID number on the drive or via the jumpers on the converter? And what else do I need to jump (LED, SYN etc) The system is straight foreward with the drives (2) going to an Adaptech 29160n via a 68 pin cable.
Any help please.

try the drive first and test it, If not then the adapter.
There shouldnt be anything else to set except if the drive has a spin on power or command jumper but should work ether way since the card should send the command if needed.
