Na that?s not an LED. I found it; it?s on the opposite side, but not as close as the diagram shows. It?s the only led on the thing. You can only see it when it lights up it is so tiny. It doesn?t matter any way, I have tried every which way and it gives me the same error. I?m ready to throw the stupid thing out the window, any way, bed sounds like a good idea.

Thanks for all of your help.

Any other ideas or help I would really appreciate it.

I?m sorry for bumping this. I?m just getting a little desperate, I have been fiddling with this drive all day.
Here is what I have found. I installed the card and the HD in another built machine, the system recognizes the card fine but when i go to "Administrative tools\Storage\disk management" the drive crunches for a little wile id say 2 to 3 good long seconds. And then it goes to a screen showing all the devices and the drive isn?t one of them.

Could something need to be enabled in my MB?

I notice that it lists the card two times on boot up (seen on one of the pics on the first page) Could this have something to do with it?

Now that I have spent some time with the drive I definitely know it is spooling up when I power on the computer. And I hear definite crunches when it recognizes the hard drive and when windows tries to access it for installation. Despite all of this, could the drive be broken??

Thanks guys
