SCSI H/D ID and initialization question

I've got a question, I hope someone will be able to help:

SCSI card: Adaptec 29160
Hard Drives: 1 Cheetah X15, 2 Atlas 10KII

I have a different OS on each drive, Win2K, ME, XP RC1. I use these drives independently, and whenever I want to go to a specific OS I just boot off a specific SCSI ID. I only use that specific drive when I'm in the OS, but the other 2 drives spin for no reason. Is there a way to set up the SCSI card to initialize only the boot drive, and leave the other 2 dormant?

Thanks

I'm fairly sure there isn't a way :( I know that cheetah must be loud, my friend has an atlas 2 10k and it's loud.

To be safe though... you'd better just send me the card and drives to make sure something's not broken... yeah... broken... :)

Go into the SCSI BIOS each time and remove all except that drive from the device search and make sure the re-search on each boot is enabled.

Edit: and disable the "start" signal. iirc, those are all standard Adaptec BIOS settings.
