SCSI Format Question...

i want to wipe a couple of my scsi hdds clean. do i just use the scsi card bios format option to do it? does this make it really clean/erase all data?

it should... if you have doubts... theres a couple of software based formatters out there that perfrom complete formats; or research into factory low level formating.

but if the low level formatting goes wrong... isnt that like a bad BIOS flash? :S

Yes the low level format does wipe it all out.. mbr ,, everything.

Never had a low level format go wrong, if it does give errors then the drive is bad...

The scsi card has it's own bois to set scsi parameter's .. ie wide/narrow, ultra, scan, termination, translation, low-level formats. etc.
It has nothing to do w/ a bios flash ...
