SCSI drives clicking & temporarily malfunctioning in RAID 0

Hardware: Adaptec 3200s RAID controller (latest RAIDpipe firmware, latest Win2k drivers), 2x Seagate Cheetah 36gb 10k rpm drives in RAID 0
OS: Windows 2k

When I am transferring large files to or from this raid array, or if i am downloading files to the array over any extended period, one or both of the drives will emit a loud click, followed by another about 2 seconds later, and file transfer activity will be halted during that time. This happens frequently. The controller has the standard 32mb cache, and I am using the default 128k stripe size (probably not the best). I am new to SCSI RAID, so any ideas for fixing this are appreciated.

Hmmm....I used to get this with one of my systems when I had 7 HDs running internally with all my other cards and whatnot. It turned out to be that all this stuff was sucking up all the power from my PSU. I moved all my scsi stuff externally in chassis and all works ok. Do you have a lot of devices hooked into the PSU?
